The staff

I was surprised by the young staff and their immense understanding of the immigration process. Dedicated to justice and to ending family detention, the six staff members were poised and engaged. The pace at the center is FAST and each day the staff arrived ready for the race. They organized names in a binder. There was a list for women who had just come to the center, one for women who would be prepped for their interviews and other lists with people’s names earmarked for their unique circumstances. Each day, dozens of women walk through the doors, seeking legal services and each one of them was attended to with a smile and words of welcome in their native language.
